Orange you glad it's not honeysuckle again this year?

Pantone - the world-renowned authority on color has announced "tangerine tango" as 2012's newest "IT" color. We have seen a trend toward neons and brights these last few seasons and orange has grown in popularity reaching top attention getting hue for 2012! Expect to incorporate this color into your home decor, makeup and thru autumn into your wardrobe!

Pantone set out in 1963 to standardize color communication for designers, manufacturers and retail customers. Now we look to them to forecast our future love affairs with color as well. Perhaps the most noteworthy of announcements is Patone's collaboration with Sephora on a first-ever, limited edition Color of the Year beauty collection including shadows, lip glosses and nail polish in this year's top shade ... tangerine tango, a vivid red-orange that flatters all skin tones. It will make blue eyes pop and adds a sultry flair to cheeks and lips.

“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it. Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”
-Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute
