Halo Couture vs Halo Hair™ Crown vs Halo Hair Extensions (UK)

In a world of sinners, the Gods of locks, have given us the answer to all of our hairy prayers ... the Halo. The easiest extension ever to use, taking less than a minute to put on without any clips to hide, messy glue or damage to your own hair. But the question remains - which Halo is most awe inspiring of all? To find out I ordered all three and here's what I found. 

THE PRICE

Halo Couture is by far the most expensive starting at $350 for their 16 inch extension which is sold primarily only through salons. Halo Hair™ Crown, in comparison is less than half the cost at $175. And the Halo Hair Extensions from the UK are £89.99 (roughly $144) but it ships from England.

All three have equally great hair, similar texture, silky and luxurious. 

As far as the amount of hair, Halo Hair™ Crown wins weighing in at 120 grams, which is 20 % more hair than either Halo Couture or the UK Halo.

The Halo Couture and Halo Hair™ Crown are both equal in width across, about 13 inches of hair that goes ear to ear. The Halo Hair Extension from the UK is only 10 inches across. I prefer the wider halo because is gives me volume like a whole set of extensions, not just in the back of my head.

Gotta love Kelly Ripa for "keeping it real!" and revealing one of the best kept secret weapons of Real Housewives, Beauty Queens, models and celebrities to her audience live on Dec 20 ... extra hair. 

The down to earth star who is always able to laugh at herself, took off a significant chunk of her mane for all to see even though her producer wasn't so sure, worried she would scare her audience and actually said so on the air. Unlike the bad weaves and glue-in weft mishaps that we have seen on stars before, the halo hair extensions are virtually undetectable and undeniably real looking. And Ms Ripa proved it.

Over a year ago, Marie Claire wrote about her stylist, Ryan Trygstad's "BeautyFalls". This is reportedly a man who knows his way around fake hair- making hair pieces for Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Chastain to name a few, but instead of the usual 6 hour extension session this hairy attachment only requires a minute or less to put on and remove, Plus you can do it yourself, wash, style it over and over again! 

Kelly's "wigston" as she named it, will set you back a cool $475 at Trygstad's NYC salon, after being customized to match your color and cut, but don't worry there's a less expensive option available to the ordinary girl wanting some extra-ordinary hair from a company online that sells the Halo Hair Crown in the US and is taking orders online for just $175 {HERE}.

The Halo Crown hair is 100% human hair with a silky texture and easy to wear. Simple to adjust, nothing to glue or clip in; just a small invisible transparent thread in front to hide that is easily covered with your own hair. I guess the weight of your natural hair once pulled over keeps in place because I actually flipped my head up and down and side to side and it never fell off! GENIUS!

If any of you would like to buy them here is the link to the Halo Hair ($175). The color options are huge and although you may think it's hard to match your color you'd be surprised how easy it is to do.

Regarding hair color, there are industry standardized colors based on how dark the hair is on a scale of 1 to 10, with the blackest being 1, to 10 being a very light blond color. (So it may be as easy as asking your colorist what level you are). For me, my stylist says I am usually between a 3 and 4. Because my hair has low lights and highlights, I can get away with wearing extensions that are between color 2 and 4 and it all blends. Afterall, being all one color can make you look like you are wearing a helmut on your head. The best part of the halo hair is that it is 100% human hair so if you like you can add your own highlights or make it a perfect match yourself. Cut it to the length you want and style, some girls just want more fullness while others might be interested in longer hair.
